Scenes from the vision

Our Mission
The Medieval Village of Wyoming Foundation exists to preserve and celebrate the beauty, craftsmanship, faith, and community of medieval European civilization by creating an authentic, living village where history is experienced rather than simply observed.
Inspired by the architectural heritage of Ypres, Belgium, our village will serve as a place of education, cultural enrichment, and inspiration. Through historically inspired buildings, artisan workshops, gardens, markets, festivals, and a magnificent Gothic cathedral at its center, we seek to reconnect people with the enduring values of craftsmanship, hospitality, stewardship, learning, and community.
Our mission is to create a living medieval Christian village dedicated to proclaiming the Kingship of Jesus Christ through beauty, worship, education, hospitality, craftsmanship, and community — a destination where visitors of all ages can step into the past, encounter living history, support traditional trades, and experience the timeless beauty of medieval life in a setting that fosters wonder, reflection, and human connection.
By bringing together historians, architects, craftsmen, educators, artists, volunteers, and supporters from around the world, we aim to build a legacy that will educate future generations, strengthen local tourism and economic opportunity, preserve endangered skills, and inspire a renewed appreciation for the cultural and spiritual foundations that helped shape Western civilization.
We envision a world-renowned medieval village in Wyoming that stands as a lasting testament to beauty, faith, craftsmanship, and community. Centered around a magnificent Gothic cathedral and inspired by the timeless architecture of Ypres, Belgium, the village will become a place where history comes alive through authentic buildings, thriving artisan workshops, vibrant marketplaces, educational programs, seasonal festivals, gardens, and welcoming public spaces.
Our vision is to establish a destination where families, students, scholars, pilgrims, and travelers from around the world can experience the richness of medieval life, learn traditional crafts, appreciate historic architecture, and discover the enduring values of service, creativity, stewardship, and human dignity. As the village grows over generations, it will foster a community dedicated to preserving cultural heritage, supporting skilled artisans, promoting historical education, encouraging responsible stewardship of the land, and inspiring future generations to build lives rooted in excellence, purpose, and hope.
We aspire to create not merely a tourist attraction, but a living community and cultural landmark whose legacy endures for centuries — a place where the past enriches the present and inspires the future.
