Porta Christi
The Tri-Currency Economic Framework
U.S. Dollar · Christus Crown · Goldback
Porta Christi will not attempt to replace the U.S. dollar. It will build a resilient local economy in which three complementary forms of payment serve different purposes.
USD provides stability. Christus Crown builds participation. Goldbacks provide tangible value. The result is a tri-currency economic system designed around a real village economy rather than cryptocurrency speculation.

I.
The Three Monetary Pillars
| Currency | Primary Role | Function in Porta Christi |
|---|---|---|
| U.S. Dollar (USD) | Accounting & stability | Taxes, payroll, contracts, mortgages, utilities, conventional banking |
| Christus Crown (CRWN) | Community digital currency | Rewards, commerce, loyalty, donations, village ecosystem |
| Goldback | Tangible alternative payment | Physical commerce, savings culture, gifts, tourism and ceremonial transactions |
The Foundation
USD
USD remains the economic and accounting foundation of Porta Christi. Businesses price their goods in dollars, accounting is maintained in dollars, tax obligations are calculated in dollars, and employees can receive ordinary dollar wages.
This prevents the village economy from becoming dependent upon the market value of CRWN or gold.
The Digital Economic Layer
Christus Crown
Christus Crown (CRWN) becomes the native digital token of the Porta Christi ecosystem.
Maximum supply
21,000,000 CRWN
CRWN can connect:
- donors
- residents
- merchants
- visitors
- craftsmen
- volunteers
- benefactors
- village institutions
into one economic network.

The Tangible Monetary Layer
Goldback
Goldbacks introduce a physical precious-metal payment option. Their greatest value to Porta Christi may be cultural as much as monetary: visitors can walk through a medieval-inspired marketplace and actually purchase bread, meals, crafts, books, lodging, or souvenirs with a physical gold-denominated instrument.
That creates a memorable economic experience without requiring Porta Christi itself to issue gold currency.
The Long-Horizon Treasury Layer
Porta Christi Strategic Bitcoin Reserve
A village meant to outlast us needs a treasury measured in the same terms. The Strategic Bitcoin Reserve is a long-horizon endowment governed by four principles — preservation, stewardship, transparency, and permanence — so that part of the wealth created by today's founders and benefactors remains available to Porta Christi generations from now.
Core 80%, Flexible 20%
A permanent Core Reserve is held across generations; a small Flexible Reserve provides disciplined liquidity under extraordinary circumstances.
A rising Reserve Floor
A continually reported floor of permanently protected BTC that should never be lowered once established.
3-of-5 multisignature custody
Institutional-grade cold storage across separate fiduciaries and geographies, with no individual holding unilateral control.
Board-governed withdrawals
Flexible sales require two-thirds Board approval; sales below the Reserve Floor require 75% and a written public explanation.
II.
The Fundamental Rule
Porta Christi merchants should generally be encouraged to accept:
USD + CRWN + Goldbacks
Participation in CRWN or Goldbacks should normally be voluntary unless a particular lease, promotion, or village-operated business establishes otherwise.
A customer purchasing a $25 meal could pay:
- $25USD
- CRWNcurrent accepted equivalent
- Goldbackmerchant's posted equivalent
